Feb, 14 update

Hello everyone,

Nice!

I hope you are all doing well! I am! It is raining here but at least I was able to get a few things done at the hotel cauce we had to take the day off. Too much wind!

I believe the biggest thing holding you back from getting even better results is how you are thinking! Thinking of where your position is in the world of ski racing! You should see yourself as a leader and a technically strong, smooth, fast, well stacked prepared racer! If you ever have any concers or questions please ask me any time. How you see yourself and think is thee key for success. See yourself in a positive light and the pieces will fall into place.

We must prepare in many areas like have the right skis, boots for you. Make sure they are tuned properly. Edge sharpness, well waxed, with the right wax. Boots fitted, canted and tuned. Have strong , flexible, healthy body`s. Good technique. Able to see the courses fastest line. And so on. But see your success first! Then lets keep preparing you as best we can!

I appreciate all of your efforts! And appreciate I have the chance to coach you! Ski racing is such a wonderfull sport and the people involved in it are all so positive.

Bye for now

Doug

Feb,14 Update

Hello Everyone,

Sorry it has been such a long time since my last update! I have had a problem with getting into my blog!

I had a good trip home to see my Family! I actually went skiing with Makaiya one day. It was fun and Big White has lots of snow.

My return to Sugadaira was good! Many of you are pushing forward with good results at races and are improving in basic skill. The most important area of your developement is the area of Goal setting and imagery. Where do you see yourself when you are in a training session? Do you see yourself improving daily, or do you see yourself failing. How you see yourself is vital for improvement. See yourself as a strong , healthy , experienced, technical, winning racer!! You can achieve great things! See the achievement, believe it will be , and feel as if you have achieved it!

Of course we must prepare in the many ares we need to prepare in for compeditive skiing. To have good skis, properlly tuned. Good Boots , properly tuned, and canted. Strong bodys. Good technique. Ability to see the line of any course. And so on! I love the challenge of ski racing!

I wish you all the Best!

I hope to see you soon!

Doug
